Forthcoming Events

The NCA’s next project is to produce a professional CD of member’s works. A lot of time, effort and cost had gone into our previous
concerts, with all the numerous rehearsals and organisation such undertakings require. But while a live concert is always a special
experience, it was felt that this year the NCA would focus all its efforts and resources into a studio-produced CD. This will provide a
permanent record that will not only represent the NCA, but also provide on-going promotion for the composers and NCA as a whole,
through sales and possible broadcasts. Once the recording has been completed, it is possible that a concert of the pieces featured on
the CD, may follow.

THE PROJECT TO DATE

Defining the project costs for the funding application, centres mainly on the number of musicians that would be needed to create a
likely and varied palette, whilst at the same time remaining a financially realistic proposal. At present, a group of 13 to 15 musicians
has been agreed, and the range and numbers of those instruments, is close to being finalised. Upon confirmation, an application for
funding will be submitted.
